“The design for the Kanu line came to me after a recent visit to the Florida panhandle where I grew up. The bowl-like curve of the table top is inspired by the dugout canoes I saw on every field trip to local museums as a child.  I was also inspired by the wild forests and marshlands that remain pristine in that area. As a concerned citizen, toxicity and environmental impact are a growing consideration for me and these pieces were created with that in mind. ”
